Costs and Fees

The program fee for the 2018 SEASSI program is $4000. SEASSI is committed to making our instruction as affordable as possible, while keeping the highest quality of instruction. The program fee includes the cost of UW-Madison assessments for use of campus facilities (student service, recreational facilities, etc.). The fee does not include the cost of textbooks or living expenses (see below). Students who have not attended UW-Madison before will also be assessed a one-time document fee of $65, which covers the cost of future transcript requests. We encourage students to apply for financial aid to attend SEASSI.

*Exception: UW-Madison undergraduates who are classified as resident or Minnesota reciprocity for tuition purposes follow regular UW-Madison Summer fee schedule.

When is Tuition Due?

Tuition for SEASSI is due on the Friday of the first week of classes. For SEASSI 2018 tuition is due Friday June 22, 2018.

Housing, Books, Incidentals

The cost of required textbooks will vary between the different languages offered at SEASSI, but students should plan to spend roughly $150.00 for textbooks. Summer housing can vary greatly in the Madison campus area, but a frugal student could safely budget $2300.00 for housing and meal costs for the summer.

Please see the Resources for Housing page for more information on housing options in Madison for summer 2018, and also the Financial Aid page for additional funding opportunities at SEASSI.
